Jax Appliance Pros answers the phones and takes bookings for appliance repair across Jacksonville & the First Coast. We work with independent technicians who already know how to fix appliances and would rather spend the day repairing than marketing, answering calls and chasing payments.
When a job comes in near you, you see the details up front and decide whether to take it. You do the repair; we handle the booking, the customer communication and the payment.
Pay: You receive 45% of the labor charged on every job you complete, including the diagnostic fee on diagnostic-only visits, paid weekly. Parts are not part of the split. At our published prices that is $80.55 on a $179 repair and $35.55 on a $79 diagnostic-only visit; larger repairs pay more. We are a new company and job volume is still building, so early weeks will be lighter. We will not promise a number of jobs.

We confirm your general liability insurance and any EPA 608 certification, and you complete a background check through our screening company.

Job offers in the counties and appliance types you chose come to your phone. Accept the ones that fit your day and pass on the rest.

Do the repair
You diagnose and complete the repair using your own tools and methods. We handle booking, customer communication and collecting payment.

Booked jobs, not cold leads
Jobs come from our phones and website across Duval, St. Johns, Clay, and Nassau counties. The customer, appliance and problem are confirmed before the job is offered to you. Volume varies with the season and the area.

Customers see our published pricing before they book, so the price conversation has already happened when you arrive.

We collect payment from the customer, and you receive 45% of the labor on every job you complete, paid weekly. No invoices to chase.

Requirements
What every partner technician needs
We verify these before your first job, so every customer can trust whoever arrives at the door.
- Real, hands-on residential appliance repair experience
- Your own reliable vehicle and tools
- General liability insurance ($1M) in your name, or the willingness to get it before your first job
- EPA Section 608 certification (Type I or Universal), only if you take refrigerator, freezer or window-AC jobs; not needed for washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens or ranges
- A background check through our screening company before your first job
- A smartphone for job details, customer notes and photos
- Clean, professional conduct in customers' homes
Licensed trades stay with licensed contractors. New gas lines, new electrical circuits and plumbing work are always referred to licensed contractors, never done on an appliance repair job.

Questions technicians ask
Is this a job or contract work?
Contract work. Partner technicians work with Jax Appliance Pros as independent contractors, not employees: you run your own business, choose the jobs you take, handle your own taxes and expenses, and receive a 1099.
How does pay work?
You receive 45% of the labor charged on every job you complete, including the diagnostic fee on diagnostic-only visits, paid weekly. Parts are not part of the split. At our published prices that is $80.55 on a $179 repair and $35.55 on a $79 diagnostic-only visit; larger repairs pay more. Can I work for other companies too?
Yes. You are an independent business, so you can keep your own customers and work with other companies. Taking jobs from us does not change that.
Do I pick my jobs?
Yes. You choose the counties and appliance types you want offers for, and you accept or decline each job offer. There is no set schedule to keep.
What appliances do the jobs cover?
Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, Ovens & cooktops, Ranges & stoves, Garbage disposals, Microwaves, Ice makers, Installations. Tell us which ones you work on and we match job offers to that. Licensed-trade work (new gas lines, new electrical circuits, plumbing) is always referred to licensed contractors.
Do I need my own insurance?
Yes. You need general liability insurance ($1M) in your own name, and proof of it, before your first job. If you do not carry it yet, you can still apply and get it before you start.
