Why two identical symptoms can cost different amounts
The part that failed
A dryer thermal fuse costs a fraction of a refrigerator control board. We quote the exact part for your model number, not a generic range.
Brand and availability
Premium brands such as Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Viking and Miele use proprietary parts that cost more and sometimes must be special-ordered.
Access and disassembly
Built-in and integrated appliances take longer to reach. That is why double ovens, built-in ovens and integrated refrigerators carry a higher diagnostic and labor rate.
Whether a second visit is needed
Most repairs are finished on the first trip from the parts on the van. If a part must be ordered, there is no extra trip charge to come back and install it.

Pricing questions
Why do you charge a diagnostic fee?
The diagnostic covers a trained technician driving to your home, testing the appliance with proper instruments and identifying the actual failed part. It is credited in full toward the repair, so if you fix the appliance it costs you nothing extra.
Are your prices per hour or flat rate?
Flat rate. You get one written price for the complete repair, parts and labor included, before any work starts. If the job takes longer than expected, that is on us.
Do you charge extra for a second visit if a part has to be ordered?
No. If we need to order a part, we return to install it at no additional trip charge. You pay the quoted price only.
What if the repair is not worth it?
We will tell you. If the estimate is more than about half the cost of a comparable new appliance, or the unit is near the end of its life, the technician will say so and you only pay the diagnostic fee.
Do you charge more for evenings or Saturdays?
No. Saturday appointments are billed at the same rates as weekdays.
Do you offer any discounts?
Ask about our multi-appliance discount when we repair two or more appliances on the same visit. We also honor a discount for active-duty military and veterans.
