Diagnostic fee
A diagnostic fee of $79 for standard appliances, or $119 for double ovens, built-in wall ovens, oven-microwave combinations and built-in or integrated refrigerators, is due for each service visit in which a technician inspects and diagnoses an appliance. The diagnostic fee is credited in full toward the repair when the customer approves the written estimate for that appliance. If the customer declines the repair, only the diagnostic fee is due.
Estimates and approval
After diagnosis the technician provides a written, flat-rate estimate covering parts and labor. No repair work begins until the customer approves the estimate. The approved estimate is the total price for the described repair. If additional, unrelated failures are discovered during the repair, the technician will provide a separate estimate for the customer to approve or decline.
Parts
We use genuine manufacturer parts where available and OEM-equivalent parts that meet the manufacturer specification where they are not. Special-order parts may require a deposit. If a special-order part cannot be obtained, any deposit is refunded in full. Replaced parts are retained by us for disposal unless the customer requests them at the time of service.
90-day warranty
Every repair is covered by a 90-day warranty on the parts we install and the labor we perform, beginning on the date of the repair. If the same failure recurs within the warranty period, we will return and correct it at no charge. The warranty does not cover unrelated failures, damage from misuse, power surges, water damage, pests, or work performed by others after our repair. Installation workmanship is covered for 90 days; the appliance itself is covered by its manufacturer warranty.
Repair-or-replace advice
Our technicians will give an honest opinion on whether a repair is economical. That opinion is advice, not a guarantee of future performance, and the decision to repair or replace rests with the customer.
Scheduling and access
Appointments are scheduled in arrival windows. The customer or an adult representative must be present and provide safe access to the appliance and to water, gas and electrical shutoffs. A missed appointment without notice may be subject to a trip fee equal to the diagnostic fee.
Payment
Payment is due when the repair is complete. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Zelle, Cash. Returned payments are subject to the fees charged by our bank.
Limitation of liability
Our liability for any claim related to a service visit is limited to the amount paid for that visit. We are not responsible for food spoilage, water damage or consequential losses arising from an appliance failure, except where caused by our negligence.
